How To Get Here

From Bali
Image result for padang bai harbourBali is the most common port of departure and a handful of fast boat operators leave from here every day. Most travellers spend a night in Bali where they get their fast boat tickets from local travel agents before transferring through the harbours of Padang Bai, Amed, Sanur or Serangan. The operators are many (Gili Cat, Island GetAway, Marina Srikandi, Blue Water Express, Eka Jaya, Wahana to name a few) and  the package generally include pick up and transfer from your hotel to the harbour.
The crossing should take about 1,5-2h, depending on which harbour and eventual stops on the way and not counting the transfer to the harbour.

From Lombok

Image result for bangsal bai harbourLombok lay just a stone´s throw away from Gili Air and is a very convenient point of transfer.
Just catch a taxi to Bangsal Harbour (about 30min away from Senggigi) once there you head down to the beachfront and the ticket office. Now, this is a public ferry which means low prices but also “flexible” schedules 😉 The boat will not leave until it has enough paying passengers to make the trip, which normally takes around 20 minutes.

Between the Gilis

Living on Gili Air but wanting to explore Trawangan or Meno for the day? Not a problem!
Local ferries leave around 8.00 and 14.00 everyday, try not to miss that last boat back though!
